What is Camp Oselia Summer Camp?
Camp Oselia is a Catholic camp which is committed to helping young people confidently grow in a fun and safe environment. Besides physical, emotional and intellectual growth we are committed to strengthening the spirituality of young people and their families. We do this by daily incorporating prayer and catechesis into the program in fun and interactive ways.
Camp Oselia is a youth and family ministry of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton. We welcome all young people regardless of race, creed and orientation.
Who is this for?
This camp program is designed for children and youth going into grades three to nine, of any and every background.
If you have a child who is willing to expand their world by adventuring with us for a week, we would love to have them join us.
Call or Text us at 780-340-3726, or email us at [email protected]
Want to print a Brochure?
Sunday, August 1 at 10 pm. Camp Kit pickup at select parishes will likely only be availble for those who register before July 16, but pick up will be available at the Eparchial Pastoral Centre up till the start of camp. As for mailing… we don’t know how fast Canada Post can get the kits out to you, but we will do our best.
Spaces are limited. Don’t delay.
The ‘ONLINE’ part:
Monday – Thursday, August 9 – 12, either 10 am or 2 pm
The first portion of camp will be online (via Zoom) in the safety of your own homes. During our sessions we will play interactive games, work with other kids in our own age group to solve challenging quests and do crazy camp activities.
So that we can accommodate more campers, we are running two simultaneous camps, each consisting of daily sessions from Monday to Thursday. You can choose the morning camp at 10 am, or the afternoon camp at 2 pm. Each session will take approximately one and a half hours.
The Icon painting, bird house building and other activities in your ‘Camp Kit’ are things that your child will be able to do during the week at your convenience. They will keep your child busy and learning for hours, and at their own pace.
Cost: NOW $50! includes 1 “Camp Kit’… (so it’s basically free)
The ‘AT CAMP’ part:
Either Friday or Saturday, August 13 or 14, AHS permitting.
After the online part of camp we HOPE to gather and play sports, cooking our own hotdogs over a camp fire, singing silly songs, shoot arrows at the archery range and dancing like wild creatures on the beautiful grounds of Camp Oselia itself.
A bus will leave at 8 am and return at 6 pm to take us to and from camp. The loading and unloading site will be Dormition Catholic Church, on the West side of Edmonton.
Those who would prefer to drive out in their own vehicles can do so, but there is no discount as we need to pay for the chartered bus.
Once there we will split into smaller age appropriate ‘cohort’ like groups and will rotate through many exciting activities, with our energetic, watchful and joyful staff.
Our cool and amazing “CAMP KIT.”

Cost $50 per “Camp Kit”
extra postage fee of $15 per kit if you wish us to mail it to you
Keeping Safe from Covid:
At Camp Oselia we take safety very seriously. We strictly keep all the rules of Alberta Health Services (AHS), and go over and above them to keep our children and our staff as healthy as possible.
We will restrict the number of participants so that we can properly follow health directives. Thankfully we have lovely large fields, plenty of trees and ample spaces to play in. We will do everything possible to keep this camp as safe and healthy as possible.

No Child Left Behind
The Edmonton Catholic School Foundation provides “Dream Maker Grants” for students in the Edmonton Catholic School District who would like to come to camp but maybe hindered by financial needs. To apply for this please contact your school’s principal explaining your child’s interest in Camp Oselia, and the monetary amount in which you will need the Dream Maker Grant to cover. Your principal will then forward the information to Marc Barylo, the Executive Director of the Edmonton Catholic School Foundation, who will evaluate the grant application.
No Child Left Behind
If your child does not attend a school in the Edmonton Catholic School District, please contact the Eparchy of Edmonton at (780) 424-5496 and ask about the “No Child Left Behind” program. We will be happy to work with you, to the best of our ability, to ensure your child is able to attend camp and gain all of the experiences it has to offer.
